The fastest way to get someone using Appy isn’t sending them a login link — it’s having Violet message them directly. Members is where you pick people from your Slack or Teams workspace and have Violet introduce herself to each one, and where admins manage everyone’s role afterward.

Introducing your team to Violet

Choose Slack or Teams — if you have both connected, a toggle lets you switch between them. Search your workspace roster, multi-select the people you want to bring in (there’s a select-all if you’re onboarding everyone at once), then click Introduce . Here’s the part that makes this different from a normal invite: clicking Introduce doesn’t send an email with a signup link. Violet DMs each person directly, in Slack or Teams, and says hello. There’s no account-creation step for them to stall on — they’re already talking to Violet. Rows for people you’ve just introduced show “Introducing…” immediately while the invite reconciles, so you can see it’s working without waiting on a page refresh.
If neither Slack nor Teams is connected yet, this section prompts you to connect a channel first — Violet needs somewhere to send that first message. See Dashboard to connect one.

Managing your roster

Below the invite section, every member of your organization is listed with a role badge — Admin or Member. Admins can, for any member:
  • Promote to Admin or Demote to Member
  • Remove them from the organization — a confirmation dialog checks before removing access, since it’s immediate
These actions are admin-only. Members can see the roster and everyone’s role, but the promote, demote, and remove controls only appear for admins.
